So for this post I thought I'd take a break from cooking
something, and just explain a little more about how this blog came to be.
In the last few years, I've become pretty much obsessed withThe Food Network shows. From Chopped, to You Gotta Eat Here, and most recently
Cutthroat Kitchen. But before I became a fan of the ridiculous looking Guy Fieri, I was already a huge Gordon Ramsay fan.
It's difficult to own a television and be up to date with
current trends, and not know who Gordon Ramsay is. He's that usually-angry,
always-British chef who had about half of the shows on the Food Network at one
point. Before all these new fangled cooking shows came along, Ramsay was
already cooking with a fiery passion for
food. He was the first chef who made me think I'd really enjoy cooking.
A few years later and he we are. I'm given a blog assignment
for class, and told to write about something I enjoy and am passionate about.
So I thought, what a great way to show that Ramsay has inspired me to learn how
to cook well and enjoy doing so. So thanks Ramsay, and my professor for finally
making me blog.
It's been a blast so far.
I am obsessed with The Food Network as well. I would have to say that 'Chopped' is my favourite show. I would watch it ever day in the summer. Also on a side note, the guy from You've Gotta Eat Here actually visited a small poutine restaurant in my home town of Stratford called, 'Boomers'. If you are ever in town you should try it out! Its a great place!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Gordon Ramsay too, you should check out "Gordon Ramsay's ultimate cookery course" and "Gordon Ramsay's home cooking" Both great shows, but I've only been able to find them on youtube. Keep up the good work man.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with the Food Network too! Huge fan of Gordon Ramsay, love him! Love the show where he goes to different restaurants and sees how they run them and helps them fix it, he's one tough guy!
ReplyDeleteYou Better Eat Here is such a good show. There was a local restaurant in Port Colborne featured on there called "Smokin' Buddah" if you've ever seen that episode, youll know how fabulous the food is there. If not, id suggest you not only watch that episode, but dine there as well!
